Job Summary

As a Food Service Worker / Barista at Hyperspeed Café, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and a variety of light food offerings in a fun, fast-paced environment. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring our café is a welcoming space for customers to grab a quick snack or settle in with a crafted drink between games. From espresso-making to preparing delicious sandwiches and snacks, your focus will be on creating high-quality products while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty beverages, with consistency and care.
• Prepare and serve light food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and snacks, adhering to quality standards.
• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to all café patrons, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle cash, process transactions, and manage point-of-sale systems accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food prep areas, coffee machines, and dining areas.
• Restock café supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak times.
• Uphold Infinity Game Lounge’s mission to provide a top-tier guest experience through excellent food and service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a barista, in food service, or café environments is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important!
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized during busy periods.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Passion for coffee, food, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items up to 30 lbs, and perform other physical tasks related to café operations.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
